Michael Allen Rogers
Biography:
Michael Rogers is Professor Emeritus at the Rochester Institute of Technology. Currently Michael is on the Board of Directors of IRMA Collaborative in Latvia. Before teaching at the Rochester Institute of Technology Michael was head of the Aichi University of Education Glass Program in Japan for eleven years. Travel is an important aspect of his practice. When not traveling Michael maintains his studio in the countryside of upstate New York where he is exploring performance art, site specificity, and installation. Of interest are ideas revolving around identity, metaphor, impermanence, ephemerality and the transitory nature of life.
