Studio Apparition
The architect for my studio was Gian-Paul Piane who is also a graduate of RIT’s School For American Crafts Wood Program.
As a gifted maker and studio artist Gian-Paul and I collaborated to develop the underlining ideas driving the design of the studio. The studio was designed as a multi-media sculpture studio with an emphasis on creating spacious areas for work as well as areas for study and contemplation, all filled with natural light. Also considered was an integration between the interior space and the surrounding landscape.
The builder was Terry Savage and his son Kevin who are experienced builders dedicated to innovative fine craftsmanship.
The studio was completed in 2006.
